Just a quick announcement:
The BEQ1 design is now patent pending. The patent application was filed with the US Patent Office October 6,
2008.
Ok, back to work!

This has certainly been a very busy year for Hot Juice Electric. In fact, the growth is actually well ahead of expectation.
The result is a major a struggle keeping production tooling and manufacturing methods in step with the volume demand.
Each manufacturing tooling upgrade is over tasked as soon as it is implemented!
This is, indeed, a good thing, but it
certainly makes for some substantial growing pains! One of which is bad news. When we started out, everything
was made by hand. My hands, to be specific. My mistake was to not factor any labor cost into the sale price.
Since I can no longer keep pace with sales, I now have to hire some of that labor. Well, the hired labor won't
work for free! So, only a portion of the needed labor was hired. Now, production capacity is overwhelmed again.
With all that said, here is the bad news: prices will increase November 1, 2008. It's just a sustainability thing.
It
is now clear what we need to do to keep ahead in our manufacturing. We have a solid plan and course to get there and
we are well on our way. There are, however, a few non-negotiable rules regarding our products and manufacturing process:
- Made
in USA
- No material or procedural compromise for the sake of price
- Every unit is individually, operationally
tested - no batch testing
These are a few examples of our non-negotiable requirements that do affect price.
But, we have learned, the hard way, that the old adage, "You get what you pay for", is very true!
